Because most of the events I lead for SVRN were private, I wanted to do something that was open to our entire community. We partnered with local Chicago natural wine shop All Together Now to host bi-monthly themed wine nights open to the public. Our goal with these Sommelier Sundays was to bring different people together and form connections based on a shared love for fashion, art, design and cuisine.

We curated a special wine list and menu for the night with help from the All Together Now staff and had a DJ spinning tunes from the theme’s region. The first Sommelier Sunday was themed after the Loire Valley and the second was after the Italian Alps. The events were a success, both selling out each time.

As far as press for these events, we wanted to keep it local to spread awareness to people in our area. I was able to secure placements in TimeOut and Block Club Chicago.
